The scout  promise and law apply to all

 

Guidelines for visiting groups using Arklow Sea Scout centre.

• Upon arrival with the local Scouter check the entire premises and campsite to ensure all is

as you need.

• Non scouting/guiding groups must produce a copy of their public liability insurance or a

letter of indemnity

• Complete on first day a fire/safety evacuation fire assembly point is just inside the gate

• If you are leaving the centre unoccupied lock the gate and doors

• As this is a working busy Sea Scout group and is the property of the youth membership,

our Sea Scouts and leaders may drop in from time to time for a cuppa.

 

Campers

• Alter-fires only
• We have neighbours, shush before 11

 

Out of Bounds

• As a Sea Scout group we have boats about the grounds. They are strictly out of bounds

to all.

• Boat shed

 

Rubbish

• Recycle bins are provided, please adhere to the bin labels, non recyclables should be bagged

in a separate bag, (do not leave them outside the cats will tear them open)

 

Just before you leave

• Campsite should be tidy. Do a litter walk through
• Ensure the fire has been extinguished, 
• Galley floor has been swept and mopped, All cutlery has been washed and put away, the

dishwasher has been emptied, work surfaces, cooker and tables have been wiped down.

• Turn off gas, heating and emersion
• Toilets have been swept and mopped.
• Shower blocks (if used) have been swept and washed out.
• Main hall has been swept and mopped.
• With the local Scouter complete a walkthrough, any damage should be repaired, replaced,

or paid for.
