Directions From Dublin:

1.                  Follow the M50/M11 southbound and continue onto the N11 southbound

2.                  Take Exit 20 for Arklow (signposted Arklow North)

3.                  Follow the R772 into Arklow

4.                  Cross the “19 Arches” bridge over the River Avoca, and take the first left onto

South Quay

5.                  Follow South Quay all the way to the end at the dock where you must take a

            right angled turn right

6.                  About 100 metres further down this road you will be facing the Seafarer’s

            Memorial Garden across the junction and a large sign for the Arklow Sea Scout

            Centre

7.                  The Arklow Sea Scout Centre is behind the Seafarer’s Memorial Garden.

 

 

Directions From Wexford:

1.                  Follow the N11 northbound

2.                  Take Exit 21 for Arklow (signposted Arklow South)

3.                  Follow the R772 into Arklow

4.                  Pass straight through the Knockmore Roundabout taking the second exit (there is a very large anchor in the

middle of this roundabout)

5.                  Passing the Apple Green service station on your right hand side, take the second exit from the next roundabout

6.                  50 metres later you will encounter another roundabout, again take the second exit here

7.                  Follow this road for around 150 metres to a mini-roundabout

8.                  Go straight through this roundabout, and pass over a humpbacked bridge over the railway tracks

9.                  Follow this road all the way to the bottom of the hill, where it goes left around a right angled corner

10.              You will enter a one way system 50 metres up the road

11.              At “Trade Winds” chipper, turn right

12.              At the end of the road you will be facing the “Dainty Bakery”, pass straight through this junction

13.              Take the next turn right

14.              At the “Wicklow Vale Pottery”, the road sweeps left

15.              Passing Halpin’s furniture shop on the right, the Seafarer’s Memorial Garden will be on your right hand side

16.              The Arklow Sea Scout Centre is behind the Seafarer’s Memorial Garden

The Arklow Sea Scouts are located beside the dock on the south side of the River Avoca.  (For the "grassy" scouts

that's the big square piece of water near the mouth of the river!)
